01
Brant, owner & logcrafter, personally selects the perfect trees for your cabin.
White Pine | Red Pine | Cedar | Spruce
02
The selected trees are cut and delivered to our building yard in Vermont.
03
The bark is then removed from the logs. We keep them full length, with their natural taper.

54 feet
16.5 meters
04
Each log is draw-knifed by hand. These smaller logs will be floor joists.
05
The wall logs are now ready to be set up for scribing. We build the shell of every home on concrete & wood blocks.
06
Each row of logs is scribed to fit tightly together, marks are made using a special scribe.
07
The notches are then cut with a chainsaw and finished by hand with a chisel.
08
Lateral notches are cut along the length of each log. This allows for each log to fit tightly to each other.
09
Plate logs will be fitted to lock-in the floor joists. Then we begin building the roof system.
10
Roof supports such as trusses, purlins, and posts are scribed and joined.
Scandinavian King Truss
11
Everything is taken apart and loaded onto trailers to be reassembled by our crew at your location.
We drill for electrical wires and insulate the notches as we remove each course of logs.

The logs are ready to be set on your foundation! Our crew will put your home together in just a few days.
